   O’sheas on the strip closes due to Linq Project

As you may have read in our previous posts Las Vegas has started a new project called the “Linq Project”. This project is going to re-vamp the way the we look at the strip.

O’sheas last call was on April 30th 2012. Many people showed up for its last call around noon on that fateful Monday. There were notes all across the walls showing how much the bar will be missed. From the easy “Goodbyes” sentimental ““We opened you in 1989 … and closed you in 2012.”

But fear not, a new O’sheas is springing up a little farther east in the entertainment alley and will feature a few new games and attractions.

Caesars Entertainment has released a ton of new renderings and information about their new development project that has the potential to recreate the Center-Strip into a whole new area. The Linq

The “Linq” project will be located across the street from Caesars Palace and will run along the street.  One of the main attractions of the “Linq” will be the world’s largest observation wheel. This giant wheel will rise at 550 feet tall and will hold 40 people in each “ball.” This wheel will require 6.6 million pounds of steel to construct.The Linq

This project will break ground at the start of September and is estimated to be completed in 2013.

Vegas Bids Farewell to Imperial Palace, Hello to “The Quad”

The Imperial Palace name change marks a new beginning for the hotel which has been a part of Las Vegas since the 1950s. From 1959 to 1979, the hotel was called the Flamingo Capri.

Construction is already under way at the soon-to-be Quad, and the hotel’s casino is perhaps the most visible evidence of the changes to come.

The name “Quad” might seem a little odd at first, but in its essence means “gathering place.” The casino is getting a revamp and expanding, and the hotel’s dining area will be getting a complete makeover. Other makeovers and updates will be released further into development.

Quincy Jones — Steve Wynn and Joe Francis Gave Me Heart Problems

Joe Quincy Steve WynnMusic legend Quincy Jones claims Steve Wynn and Joe Francis’ legal war over an alleged murder plot has caused him “grave fear of his health” — including difficulty breathing and heart palpitations.

TMZ broke the story … Jones was subpoenaed to testify in Wynn’s defamation lawsuit against Francis, in which the “Girls Gone Wild” creator has claimed Wynn threatened to kill him and have him buried in the desert over a debt Francis owed to Wynn’s casino.

According to Francis, Jones had seen an email from Wynn detailing the murder plot — so Wynn called on 79-year-old Jones to testify in order to prove Francis was full of crap.

But right after he was served with a subpoena last week at the airport, Jones claims he experienced “increased anxiety, heart palpitations, and difficulty breathing.”

Jones then got a letter from his doctor asking to be excused from the trial, in which his doc writes, “I have examined Mr. Jones and at this time I highly recommend that he not be required to testify in a court setting that will only exacerbate his current deteriorating condition.”

The subpoena has since been quashed and Jones is no longer required to testify.

We’re told all the photos were taken within the last year — in the months before Megan and Phelps eventually came into contact.

Steve Wynn Admits He Gave Donation to United Way

Steve Wynn donation(from Yahoo via ABC news) A half-year mystery for 4,000 families in southern Nevada was at last solved when casino mogul Steve Wynn made it known that he’d made the anonymous donation of $2 million to the United Way of Southern Nevada.

“Last year I gave away 125 percent of my salary,” Wynn told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “I gave away $20 million. You know that Secret Santa Claus program for 1,000 people? Well, that’s us. And I don’t want to say this, but I did it again in April. Another million bucks. The United Way gives me the name of the families in the toughest shape.”

Congratulations to Mr. Wynn on a job well done.

Roy Horn — Sexual Assault Video Won’t Be Sold … For Now

The videos showing Roy Horn from Siegfried & Roy sexually assaulting his male caretakers won’t see the light of day … at least for now … because a judge just blocked it from being sold to the media.

Roy had requested a temporary restraining order after TMZ broke the story … that one of the caretakers was shopping the disturbing footage to media outlets.

A Nevada judge just signed the order — which also requires the caretaker to surrender the footage until a formal hearing can be held on June 8.

Siegfried and Roy — Video of Roy Sexually Assaulting Employees Being Shopped

A graphic video showing Roy Horn of Siegfried and Roy groping employees, grabbing their junk and squeezing their nipples is being shopped … TMZ has learned.

We have seen the video, and it’s extremely disturbing. Roy — who was mauled by a tiger in 2003 — has been going through rehab to strengthen his left side. But the physical therapists tell us, Roy’s right side is “extremely strong,” and the video clearly shows Roy sexually assaulting the male therapists.

The video — shot in 2010 — shows the following:

— As a caretaker helps Roy to the bathroom, Horn shoves his hand into the man’s butt crack in an aggressive manner

— On another trip to the bathroom, Roy thrusts his rear end into the male caretaker’s crotch

— In two clips, Roy grabs the genitals of two male caretakers

— Roy goes under the shirt of one caretaker and appears to tweak his nipples. The caretaker appears to writhe in pain

— It appears Roy gets frustrated with one of the caretakers and violently whips him with an oxygen tube

— Roy manhandles one of the caretakers and forcibly kisses him on the mouth

The 3 male caretakers in the video tell TMZ they are all straight and have families. They have sued Roy in Nevada court for the alleged sexual assaults.

The caretakers also tell us they went to the cops recently to file a crime report but were told the 1-year criminal statute of limitations had run.

The rapper was spinning at TRYST nightclub at the Wynn Hotel on Saturday … when some super rich guy — known as “Su Su” — dropped $90k on a 15 liter bottle of Ace of Spade Rose Champagne … plus an extra $40k on other fancy booze.

Sources tell us club honchos were so thrilled about the purchase, they asked Dupri to give Su Su a special VIP shout out.

Dupri not only obliged … but he was so impressed with the purchase, he LET THE GUY REQUEST A SONG!!  Which — if you’ve ever been to Vegas — never happens.

It gets better … “Su Su” was so thankful Dupri actually played his tune — Pitbull‘s “Give Me Everything” — he stuffed an additional $3,800 cash in his pocket as a tip!

“Su Su” tells TMZ … he was “happy” to throw down the cash because he loves Jermaine and thinks he’s a “bomb” DJ.
