Riviera Hotel and Casino The Riviera is one of the Vegas Originals, and in some ways it shows itself. The Rooms are standard hotel rooms. They do have newly updated rooms and I would ask for them. The staff was always friendly and helpfull. The casino has the Downtown feel with the low ceilings and free pulls on a slot machine. The food court seems a last minute addition, a little dirty and is easily accessible from the strip. The Riviera is on the northern end of the strip close to Circus Circus, the Sahara and the Stratosphere. You will find your self always going to the south on the strip to get where the action is. But the new Echelon Place will be built over the coming years and the Riviera if still around would be a close place to stay.
