Tropicana Planning $2 Billion Upgrade
Tropicana’s new owners, Columbia Sussex Corporation are planning to invest $2billion in a makeover. The upgrade will include new towers and give the old casino a full makeover. This will give the hotel / casino another 8,000 rooms. Construction is slated to start next year sometime

and not a moment too soon! the only worn-out properties on the strip since the Stardust closed are the Trop and the Riv… and the Frontier which is apparently about to be torn down and they are going to build a jazz-revival-oriented place to go along with the Trump tower… I’m a big jazz fan so that was cool for me. I’m looking forward to what the Tropicana will become.. I like the old places and I’d rather they redo them thatn just get rid of them altogether, ya know?
